How does this tool know which CDN owns an IP?
It downloads the providers’ officially published IP range lists (Cloudflare, AWS, GCP, GitHub, Fastly) and checks whether the IP falls inside any of them.
Why would I need to know if an IP is behind a CDN?
To tell an origin from an edge server, to allowlist a provider’s ranges in a firewall, or to confirm a domain is actually fronted by the CDN you expect.
Are these ranges always up to date?
They reflect each provider’s current published list, which providers update periodically. A brand-new range may take time to appear in the official feed.
